Balochistan government makes it mandatory to write best before date on eggs – WeirdNews

(Web Desk) – In a surprise move, the government of Balochistan has made it mandatory to display the expiry date on eggs.

Appropriate instructions have been given to suppliers, wholesalers and shop owners.

The order will come into effect from August 31, 2024, and shopkeepers have been instructed to keep a complete record of all eggs.

Officials said the decision was taken in view of the deteriorating health conditions due to consumption of unhygienic food.

According to the notice issued, citizens were asked to contact the Balochistan Food Authority if they notice eggs without an expiry date.
