Tour de France Femmes, Stage 3, live – Overall classification battle against the clock

Update

Lucinda Brand (LTK) heads out for her ride. She is definitely a rider to keep an eye on during today’s stage. Kristen Faulkner (EFO) starts off the ramp right after her.

Ellen van Dijk (LTK) crosses the finish line just ONE second behind Loes Adegeest (FST). This is amazing. Adegeest literally flew around the track and beat Van Dijk.

Liane Lippert (MOV) crossed the finish line in tenth place with just under 20 inches. Good ride from the German.

Evita Muzic (FST) crosses the finish line 35″ behind in 37th place. Not what she would have wanted. We will see how the other big favorites do.

Now Ellen van Dijk (LTK), who seems extremely motivated for this ride, sets off. She sprints from the ramp and also about 150 m after it. In this initial phase she is practically at full speed.

Shirin van Anrooij (LTK) starts her ride. She should be able to be up there with the front runners this afternoon. Her skills and strength from cyclocross could help her enormously.

Audrey Cordon-Ragot (HPH) crosses the finish line in 6th place, 18 inches behind Loes Adegeest (FST).

Evita Muzic (FST) starts her ride. Her teammates have been fast so far, led by Loes Adegeest (FST). Grace Brown (FST) missed the lead because she had to change her bike after a puncture. Muzic hopes for a good ride on the track.

Pauliena Rooijakkers (FED) crossed the finish line in fifth place, just 17 inches behind. That’s an excellent ride but a brilliant climber.

The French time trial champion, Audrey Cordon-Ragot (HPH), has set off on her ride. She is hoping for a very good result today.

Cristina Tonetti (LAB) started her ride in the polka dot jersey. She will also wear this jersey tomorrow.

Grace Brown (FST) crosses the finish line +19″ down. She probably lost about 30″ or more on that wheel change.

Puncture

Anouska Koster (UXM) narrowly missed the best time and finished in third place with a gap of +14″.

Olympic gold medalist and Australian time trial champion Grace Brown (FST) sets off for her ride. She is one of the big favorites for today. And it is probably also the only time we will see this amazing bike in a race.

Ruth Edwards (HPH) takes third place, +16″ behind. A solid time from the American rider. Solid performance from her.

Time for the bike check of Grace Brown (FST)…

Ruth Edwards of Human Powered Health has started her journey.

Tamara Dronova-Balabolina (CGS) runs quite well and crosses the finish line in third place, +18″ behind Adegeest (FST).

Tamara Dronova-Balabolina (CGS) is currently on the track. Today is her 31st birthday.

Within the last 100 drivers who can still set off on their journeys.

Bradbury (CSR) comes to the finish line losing a lot of time, finishing +45″ behind Adegeest (FST). This is not ideal at all.

New festive season

Neve Bradbury (CSR) on the track. She has been safe in the peloton so far. Only 20″ behind Kool (DFP). She will want to give it her all this afternoon to achieve the best possible result.

Gaia Realini (LTK) finishes 13th, 24″ behind the current leader Elena Pirrone (CGS). This is a big loss of time, as the other favorites have not started yet.

Realini (LTK) finished 11th in the first split, just 10 inches behind. She has been riding really well so far.

Lizzie Deignan (LTK) has also started. It’s not really her strong point, but she will try to at least get through.

Gaia Realini (LTK) has set off. Let’s see how the co-leader of Lidl-Trek fares in the battle against time today.

New best time

130 drivers can still set off on their journeys.

Roland rider Elena Pirrone was fastest at the intermediate time, 2 inches ahead of Squiban (ARK). She could be a new leader at the finish.

Van de Velde (AGS) finishes just 3 inches behind Squiban (ARK) after her effort. This is a fast course where riders make their efforts fly by.

Squiban (ARK) also holds the fastest time in the split. Julie van de Velde (AGS) came second in the split with just one second advantage.

The first riders have already reached the finish line. Maëva Squiban (ARK) held the fastest time in first place with a time of 7’51”.

Unfortunately, St. Michel-Mavic-Auber93 rider Dilyxine Miermont had to abandon the race this morning after several crashes.

After seeing Olympic road race champion Kristen Faulkner’s bike for a few stages, it’s now Olympic time trial champion Grace Brown’s turn to show off her stunning gold Lapierre. Plus, we get a look at Remco Evenepoel’s new gold road bike…
