The Trump campaign is rallying around White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who says there is no “firecracker” between President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, arguing that the comment reflects that “Kamala is responsible for the border crisis” and other problems enveloping the country.
“Thank you @PressSec for confirming: There is ‘no difference’ between Kamala and Joe! Kamala is responsible for the border crisis. Kamala is responsible for inflation. Kamala is responsible for the wars, chaos and crime of the last four years,” Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on X on Monday afternoon, showing a clip of Jean-Pierre.
Leavitt was responding to Jean-Pierre, who said during a White House press conference on Monday that Biden and Harris had been “on the same page” throughout their term in office and that there were no “differences” between the two.
“(Harris will) present her vision. But they have been on the same page for three and a half years. There has been no clear solution,” Jean Pierre said.

The White House spokeswoman was responding to a media question about a possible policy vetting process between Biden and Harris as the president completes his final months in office and Harris continues to garner support for her presidential bid in November.

In an exclusive comment to Fox News Digital on Monday, Leavitt added that “Kamala created this mess” and therefore she “cannot be trusted” to deal with such problems under a possible Harris administration.

“Today, the Biden White House confirmed what Kamala Harris refuses to admit: There is NO difference between Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. Kamala is responsible for the illegal immigration crisis that continues to rage at our southern border; and Kamala is responsible for the inflation crisis that has made food, rent, and gas unaffordable. Electing Kamala would be like hiring the thief who robbed your house to put new locks on the door. Kamala made this mess – she can’t be trusted to clean it up,” Leavitt said.

Harris has not held a press conference since she emerged as the Democratic Party’s front-runner for the presidential election last month, as she strives to keep her distance from issues such as rising immigration and the persistent inflation problems that have bedeviled the country under the Biden administration.

“Kamala Harris has spent decades fighting violent crime. As a prosecutor in a border state, she took on drug cartels and locked up gang members for smuggling guns and drugs across the border,” says a new campaign ad about her border policy.

It continues: “As Vice President, she supported the toughest border control law in decades. And as President, she will hire thousands more border agents and crack down on fentanyl and human trafficking.”
Former President Trump has repeatedly criticized Harris’ campaign as a continuation of the Biden administration, saying Harris was the “driving force” behind Biden’s policies.

Harris “has been the ultra-liberal driving force behind every single Biden disaster. She is a radical left-wing madwoman who will destroy our country if she ever gets a chance to get into office,” Trump said during a campaign rally in North Carolina late last month.
