Poppy’s Happy Mints Becomes Nightmare Arrest August 12th The Bold and the Beautiful

Katie Logan did what she set out to do. She researched and questioned those in the know and lucked out when she met her nephew RJ, who spilled everything Luna had told him. All of these elements provided enough valid evidence to make her call the police. In the Monday, August 12 episode Rich and beautifulChief Baker showed up at Dollar Bill’s door and arrested Poppy. What will happen next?

There’s no doubt about it – Poppy (Romy Park) was played. At this point in this double murder mystery, it seems too soon for the police to arrest the real culprit. For now, we believe Poppy is innocent. It all seems too easy. Katie (Heather Tom) has gathered all the evidence for the police. They turned up and arrested her. This is not the end.

Until today’s episode, we were wondering about the drugs. The police didn’t have access to Poppy’s Happy Mints. Since there was a search warrant for Poppy’s apartment, we thought they might find her mints that way. But no, it turns out there was a can of those Happy Mints in the backpack. (See what happens on Tuesday’s B&B here)

That means if this is a devious act (and it looks like it is), the person or people who committed it know Poppy well. They knew where to hide Tom’s backpack in her apartment. And they were close enough to her to know about the Happy Mints and steal the can from her, lace it, and drug Tom (Clint Howard) and Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers). (Y&R’s Lauralee Bell talks about their B&B crossover here)

So far, Poppy has admitted that she was at Il Giardino the night Tom died. But no one has connected that she was there the night Hollis died, right? So when will the cops address this issue? And more importantly, will Bill (Don Diamont) stand by his wife even though she didn’t tell him what happened? After all, he couldn’t believe why she didn’t come to him when everything was blowing up in her face. He hates being out of the loop and he loves being the savior.

Although Katie has been a little too focused on her thoughts lately, Bill should take note of one thing she said. He needs to do another paternity test to end this whole baby-daddy mess as soon as possible.

Ultimately, it would be great if Poppy had been committing the double murders all along. Arresting her so early in the game would be a nice red herring. Bill would do anything to clear her name and get her out of trouble, and then finding out that she actually did it would be a fun surprise. (Discover the latest B&B news here)

What do you think about these latest developments? What are your theories about how this double murder will end? And was RJ (Joshua Hoffman) too quick to tell his parents everything? Share your thoughts in the comments!
