The 2024/25 Champions League and its new format will take their first steps with the draw next Thursday, August 29, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. This draw brings several changes compared to previous editions. In addition to the traditional ball drawing format, a more innovative method is introduced. A ball is drawn for each team and then A software program randomly determines the eight opponents each team faces – four home matches and four away matches. The rule that teams from the same association cannot play against each other in this league phase remains the same as in the previous group phases.
