After a successful ice and snow season last winter, attractions in northeast China, previously known for their spectacular winter landscapes, are currently experiencing a boom in summer tourism.

China’s northeast is rich in ice and snow, but also has high forest cover and pleasant temperatures in summer. By establishing a dual tourism image – ice and snow in winter and cool getaways in summer – local authorities have created a development path that balances environmental protection and economic growth.
