“There was a plan that Woods and Kofi would be the villains if (Woods) won King of the Ring. That was absolutely in the game,” Camp revealed. “I didn’t get a lot of details, but it was thought that the power would go to his head and he would finally win what he always wanted to win and all that.”
This heel turn, which was ultimately scrapped, would have marked a significant departure for The New Day, a group traditionally celebrated for their positive attitude and fan-friendly antics. The idea was based on a storyline in which the distinction of winning the King of the Ring could go to Woods’ head, potentially leading to a darker, more arrogant persona.
