Pizza Hut has launched the Moving Box Table, a special pizza box that transforms into a miniature table, offering a practical solution for pizza lovers who want to quickly and easily set up a dining table in the chaos of a move.
According to Pizza Hut, nearly 9 in 10 (87%) Americans have ordered pizza during a move, and a whopping 79% of movers admitted to eating their pizza on the floor on moving day. That’s why Pizza Hut wants to come to the rescue, offering limited-edition moving box tables in the most popular U.S. cities with the most movers during the peak moving season of the year.
The development of this product was motivated by an internal survey in which 85% of respondents agreed that pizza is the best food to order during a move. Movers can now eat pizza without having to eat on the floor after a long day of lugging boxes and spending time arranging furniture.
The Moving Box Table features an iconic red checkered corrugated structure that folds into a sturdy base. This base supports the pizza box tabletop and creates a mini table in just a few steps. To set up, users simply unfold and assemble the structure and the table is ready to use.
“Many people know the chaos that comes with moving, and the last thing you want to worry about is unpacking to enjoy a well-deserved meal at the end of a long day,” says Melissa Friebe, Chief Marketing Officer at Pizza Hut.
“We love that pizza is a universal moving day tradition for many, but we hate when it ends up being eaten on the floor. This moving box table will help us be there for Pizza Hut customers by not only providing them with a delicious pizza after a stressful moving day, but also a place to eat it easily and conveniently.”
The Moving Box Table is free with orders of a large, menu-priced pizza and is offered exclusively at select Pizza Hut restaurants in three of the U.S.’s most popular cities for moving: Dallas, Charlotte and Orlando.
