Shortly after 9 a.m., organizers announced that the free on-site stage program will continue as planned, with the exception of the Veteran’s Garden Ceremony, which will now take place at 10 a.m.

However, the Park & ​​Ride lots remained closed until 9:15 a.m. In addition, organizers announced that the State Fair Express and all other bus services have resumed.

The Mighty Midway, the Kidway and the Adventure Park were still closed at 9:30 a.m.

FIRST REPORT: The Minnesota State Fair says it will postpone Tuesday’s opening of the fairgrounds, citing the need to assess damage and clean up debris after severe storms passed through the area Monday night and early Tuesday.

The site normally opens at 7 a.m. However, the trade fair management did not announce any new opening hours when it made the announcement at 6:19 a.m.

However, at 7:15 a.m., the trade fair announced that the exhibition grounds and parking lots were closed until further notice and asked trade fair visitors not to come.

The Minnesota State Fair said it has not announced any planned hours at this time and will provide updated information throughout the day.

Due to storms late Monday, the Grandstand concert had to be canceled and the rides at the Midway had to remain closed.
