OCEANA COUNTY, MI – Summer is coming to an end, but Michigan’s heat index is rising.

Families looking to cool off before Labor Day can try out this West Michigan wading pool while it’s still open.

Lewis Adventure Farm & Zoo still has one week of Summerfest left, including its main event, Splash Acres.

The 700-acre farm is located in the heart of West Michigan near Silver Lake Dunes, 4180 M-20, New Era, about a half hour north of Muskegon.

The farm-themed paddling pool opened last summer and features water cannons, a large bucket, pig puddles and a water shower.

The newest facility is the ever-growing family farm.

What began as a cherry orchard in the early 2000s is now an epicenter of agritourism with a corn maze, petting zoo, exotic animal zoo and seasonal produce like apple orchards and pumpkin patches.

In addition to the water playground, families can have fun on the giant slide, on giant bouncy cushions and by practicing lassoing.

The petting zoo and the exotic zoo are also open.

The exotic zoo features a variety of animals, from camels to otters to wallabies. Animal lovers can also purchase interactive add-ons such as sloth or capybara experiences.

The farm’s summer season runs through Monday, September 2. Day passes are $21.95 when purchased online.

For all of you who are already mentally sitting in a cozy sweater and drinking a pumpkin latte, there are already autumn offers.

The Fall Ticket Sale offers 45% off tickets valid from September 6th to October 31st. The Fall Ticket Sale ends Friday, August 30th.
