Oracle Enterprise Cloud apps can now connect through AT&T

AT&T’s additional network capabilities enable Oracle Cloud customers in the field to collect data from Internet-connected devices in near real time.

For businesses with IoT devices, staying connected to those devices is critical, and now Oracle is partnering with AT&T to provide that connectivity.

In a press release on Oracle’s website on Monday, the company announced that it is adding AT&T IoT connectivity and network APIs to its Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP), enabling Oracle customers to connect and manage devices in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

AT&T’s IoT connectivity is available to Oracle customers in the US and “provides a foundation for new industry applications – from consumer to industrial – and ensures high-performance, reliable connectivity that enables innovation and new services, such as turnkey, communications-enabled restaurant operations, automated management of the public power grid or advanced telemedicine capabilities,” the press release states.

“Our mission has always been to improve the way the world communicates, and with ECP, supported by AT&T and FirstNet, we are a big step closer to realizing that vision,” said Andrew Morawski, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Communications. “Together, we can help companies across all industries realize the full potential of 5G by developing a new generation of vertical applications that offer endless opportunities for innovation.”
