ATHENS, Ohio— The Ohio State football team (0-0) opens the 2024 season on August 31 on the road against Syracuse (0-0). Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, NY. The game can be watched on ACCN with Chris Cotter, Mark Herzlich and Coley Harvey on the phone.

The Bobcats’ matchup will also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield, presented by Holzer Health System. Veteran Ohio radio host Marty Bannister will take over the role of live commentator in 2024 and will be joined by Rob Cornelius, who has been involved in the broadcasts for two decades.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST SYRACUSE
The Bobcats have faced the Orange three times since 1916 and hold a series record of 0-3.

Ohio and Syracuse last met in Athens for the Bobcats’ 2021 season opener. Syracuse steadily increased its lead, scoring a point in each quarter. The Bobcats scored on three field goals by kicker Stephen Johnson and ultimately lost 29-9.
