Leeds United’s park and ride service has been extended for the 2024/25 season and will be available again on Wednesday evening when the Whites face Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup at Elland Road.

The service provided through the partnership between the Club and Hunters supports not only our fans in the community but the wider environment.

Another benefit of the service is that it avoids long queues and parking problems around the stadium, allowing you to arrive at Elland Road in a relaxed manner and return to your car more quickly after the game.

The locations are Temple Green and Stourton, with operations commencing two and a half hours before kick-off.

  • The Park & ​​Ride program is run in partnership with Hunters Coaches, who operate the service.

  • The club will sell the park and ride tickets online on behalf of Hunters Coaches.

  • Tickets must be purchased in advance and cost £7 per person or £21.50 per car (based on four people travelling at the same time).

  • A shuttle bus service will operate from Temple Green and Stourton Park and Ride to the stadium. This service will commence two and a half hours before kick-off and return from the stadium following the match on a priority route.

Stourton Park

Stourton Park and Ride is located at Junction 7 of the M621 and is directly accessible from the M621 motorway, A61 Wakefield Road and A639 Leeds Road to Pontefract Road and is suitable for journeys from the south and south/west of the city.

Temple Green

Temple Green Park & ​​Ride is located in the Aire Valley next to the A63 Pontefract Lane and is accessed via junction 45 of the M1.

Driving change: How can sport help?

  • It is estimated that the global football industry produces more than 30 million tonnes of carbon dioxide every year, roughly equivalent to Denmark’s entire emissions.

  • A quick look at the figures above shows the enormous difference in the impact of sport at grassroots and global level.

  • While the sports industry in general is working on improvements in the green transition, some organisations are now gradually trying to make their business model more sustainable. The Leeds United and Hunters coaches are collaborating on this approach.

  • The Park & ​​Ride service means that over 150 cars no longer have to drive to the stadium for each game, resulting in a significant reduction in the carbon footprint.

  • Replacing car journeys with public transport can contribute to a 42% reduction in CO2 emissions when using the bus.

Further information

To further enhance this service, official Leeds United club stewards will be present at both Park & ​​Ride locations and will check in fans as they board the buses. Each passenger will be given a wristband by Hunters Coaches staff before departing for Elland Road. On the return journey, passengers will be required to present their wristband to board the bus back to the Park & ​​Ride locations. Fans without a wristband will not be able to use this service.
