Donald Trump celebrates support of RFK Jr.

Donald Trump has once again shared an image on his Truth Social account that appears to have been generated by artificial intelligence. This time he shows himself riding a lion and captioned it: “There is only one president who can make America great again.”

This bizarre post comes as a new YouGov poll finds Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, outperforming the former president in a range of non-political contexts.

For example, more Americans believe that Harris would win both a cooking contest and a dance competition. The vice president is also better at handling spicy food and dresses better.

According to YouGov, she is also “more likely to remember birthdays, keep secrets and give better relationship advice.”

Earlier on Friday, Trump appeared on stage at an event in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was accompanied by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The independent candidate suspended his presidential campaign on Friday and announced his support for Trump, while also sharply attacking Democrats and baselessly claiming there was a massive media conspiracy to help Harris get elected.

The Democrats have a superpower when it comes to defeating Trump

Kamala Harris wore a French navy blue, chic but somber pantsuit and blouse for her nomination acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention. There were many rumors that she would carry on Hillary Clinton’s legacy and wear “suffragette white” to underscore the historic nature of her candidacy. Yet when I asked if we could expect her to talk about the prospect of becoming the first female president, an aide replied stiffly, “Kamala doesn’t need to prove her credentials.”

The message in Chicago was different from that of Clinton’s failed 2016 campaign and Hillary’s constant references to her encounters with the “glass ceiling.” Harris downplays this aspect of her beliefs – or perhaps calculates that Americans, aside from sympathetic voters, are not always sympathetic to women who talk about their problems.

The aim of a spare, well-formulated speech was to lead Harris from the niche of the feminist, liberal Californian, who is being molded by the Trump-Vance camp into a caricature of ultra-left, pushy activists, into the role of a thoroughly average American citizen: a sensible, open-minded and reliable contact person for the security of America and the West.

Poll: Harris beats Trump in non-political contexts

According to a new YouGov poll, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is performing better than the former president in a range of non-political contexts.

For example, more Americans believe that Harris would win both a cooking contest and a dance competition. The vice president is also better at handling spicy food and dresses better.

According to YouGov, she is also “more likely to remember birthdays, keep secrets and give better relationship advice.”

The polling firm also found that Harris was more willing to return a lost wallet or help a stranger.

However, when asked who would win an arm wrestling contest, Trump is 29 points ahead of Harris.

“More people also believe that Trump would beat Harris at a game of poker and that he would give better financial advice,” the pollster said.

JD Vance’s self-description as a “never-Trump guy” becomes a viral TikTok hit

JD Vance declared himself a “Never Trump Guy” in 2016. As Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate, the Ohio senator’s words are now taking their revenge in the form of a viral hit on the social media app TikTok.

The 22-second audio clip was created by DJ duo Casa Di and Steve Terrell, who sampled Vance’s comments from a 2016 interview with Charlie Rose while promoting his memoir. Hillbilly Elegy.

In the clip, Vance can be heard saying, “I’m a ‘Never Trump’ guy. I never liked him.”

This sample was added to Petey Pablo’s hip-hop beat “Freek-a-Leek,” and the resulting song has become extremely popular on TikTok, where it has served as the soundtrack to more than 8,500 videos in the last month, garnering over 40 million total views.

From bad jokes to embarrassing donuts: Inside JD Vance’s very strange week on tour

Sure, it may be difficult to compete with the carnival charisma of Donald Trump, but another week of campaigning seemed to have changed little in the line of attack against Vance.

Although there were no major political faux pas, such as the disparagement of people without traditional families as “childless cat ladies,” the U.S. Senator for Ohio still caused a lot of raised eyebrows and awkward silences.

Trump questions Harris’ “right to run for president”

In a post on Truth Social on Friday, Trump questioned Harris’ “right to run for president” and argued that assuming the Democratic nomination despite failing to win the primary posed a “threat” to democracy.

The former president and Republican presidential candidate wrote: “Kamala Harris is the weakest presidential candidate in history when it comes to crime. She has allowed millions of people to pour across our borders, many from prisons, mental institutions and even terrorists, on a scale never seen before.”

“What gives her the right to run for president? She got no votes, Biden’s 14 million. She failed on her last attempt, was the first of 22 people to give up, never made it to Iowa, and now she’s a presidential candidate? This is a threat to democracy!” he added.
