Tiana’a Bayou Adventure is one of Disney World’s newest and most popular attractions. Since the beginning of the summer, visitors have been riding down the bayou with Tiana and all her friends.
Every day, visitors to the Magic Kingdom have two options to visit this attraction. The first option is to get a boarding pass through the virtual queue or to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and select a ride for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is not the only attraction at Disney World that uses a virtual queue system, as this seems to be the new norm for brand new attractions to keep wait times low, but will the virtual queue be used at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure disappear at some point?
Some people love the virtual queue system. It’s a way to “reserve” a spot in line without having to wait an insanely long time to ride a popular attraction. While you’ll still have to wait in line once your boarding group is called, you’ll spend most of your “waiting time” experiencing other parts of the park.

Rémy’s Ratatouille Adventure can be reserved with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Rise of the Resistance can be reserved with the Lightning Lane Single Pass.
For reference: Rémy’s Ratatouille Adventure opened on October 1, 2021 to celebrate Disney World’s 50th anniversary. Just a few months later, in January 2022, the attraction was converted to a standby line.
Rise of the Resistance opened at Disney World on December 5, 2019. The attraction stopped using the virtual queue in September 2021.
TRON Light Wheel / RUN will open in April 2023 and Tiana’s Bayou Adventurecurrently uses both Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane Single Pass as the only options to use this attraction.

What does this mean for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure? Well, last year, while Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, TRON Light Bike / Running had a third virtual queue that opened at 6pm for partygoers. We hope that after the party season in Magic Kingdom, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure And possibly TRON Light Bike / Running will switch from the virtual queue to a standby queue, with Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass still being offered.
