Ronda Rousey says WWE wanted to build the second All-Women’s Evolution PLE around her – PWMania

According to Ronda Rousey, there almost was another women-only WWE Evolution premium live event a few years ago.

In a new “Ring The Belle” interview released on August 24, the UFC Hall of Fame legend and former WWE Women’s Champion claimed she was told that if she stayed with WWE after WrestleMania 35 in 2019, the company would build another all-women’s WWE Evolution PLE around her.

“Well, they offered to bring it back a second time,” Rousey said of a potential sequel to WWE Evolution, the all-women’s PLE that took place in October 2018. “They said, ‘Ronda, if you stay after WrestleMania, we’ll have another Evolution in six weeks and you’ll be Becky as a singles competitor.’ I said, ‘I promised my family.’ At first I said, ‘Oh, I’ll only be there from WrestleMania to Survivor Series. Then Triple H convinced me to stay from WrestleMania to WrestleMania, and I promised my family, ‘Okay, that’s it. That’s it.’ I have kids, a husband and a home, and I’m gone for weeks at a time.'”

She added: “When they said that, I thought, ‘No, I’ve already asked too much of my family. I can’t ask anything more of them. I promised them that. I promised you that I would stay this long and I promised them that I would only stay this long and that I wouldn’t move the goalposts any further.’ I ended up breaking my ankle anyway, like I’ve got an extra little lump now, so I wouldn’t have made it anyway, but, yeah, they tried to dangle that carrot in front of me, but I just couldn’t.”
