With the conclusion of the Democratic and Republican party conventions, the candidates for the presidential elections have been decided.

Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will face off against former President Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance of Ohio. The candidates have about two months left to present their arguments to the public, with the greatest opportunity to do so coming during the presidential and vice presidential debates.

When will the first presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump take place?

Trump and Harris will meet onstage for the ABC News Presidential Debate | Race for the White House at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia on Tuesday, September 10, at 9 p.m.

According to ABC, David Muir and Linsey Davis will moderate the debate on September 10.

Who is David Muir?

According to his biography on abcnews.com, Muir is anchor and managing editor of ABC World News Tonight with David Muir and co-anchor of ABC’s 20/20. Since joining ABC News, Muir has spent more than two decades reporting from around the world.

He conducted the first interview with then-President Donald Trump at the White House and was the first news anchor to interview President Trump during the COVID-19 pandemic. A few weeks before the 2020 election, he secured the first joint interview with then-Vice President Joe Biden and his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris. He has conducted numerous exclusive interviews with President Biden.

Who is Lindsey Davis?

According to her website, Davis is currently an anchor for ABC News Live Prime, ABC News Live’s first streamed evening newscast, and for “World News Tonight” on weekend Sundays. She is a correspondent and provides reports for “World News Tonight,” “Good Morning America,” “20/20” and “Nightline.”

Throughout the 2020 presidential election cycle, Davis was at the center of ABC News’ coverage, starting with all eight nights of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions and co-hosting major political events such as two presidential debates, the vice presidential debate, presidential election coverage and Inauguration Day. She also moderated ABC News’ Democratic presidential debates in September 2019 and February 2020.

Will there be any more presidential debates besides the one in September?

The former president has floated dates for further debates on September 4 and 25, after finally agreeing to the debate on September 10. Details are to be worked out with Harris’ campaign team.

“I think they will be very insightful,” Trump told reporters during an impromptu press conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on August 8. “We would like to have three debates.”

Harris answered the Republican candidate’s question to reporters in Michigan: “I look forward to the debate with Donald Trump and we have agreed on a date for September 10th. I heard that he has finally committed to it and I am looking forward to it.”

When will the vice presidential debate take place?

Vance and Walz will debate in New York City on October 1. The debate will be moderated by CBS News.

The debate will be moderated by Norah O’Donnell, anchor and editor-in-chief of the “CBS Evening News,” and Margaret Brennan, anchor of “Face the Nation” and chief foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News.

The debate will be broadcast on CBS. CBS also offers viewers the opportunity to follow the news stream live on their website.
