Kate Middleton and bearded Prince William congratulate British Olympians in rare video from home

Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a rare video message from their homeland at the end of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a recorded video message from their homeland to congratulate the British athletes on their success.

“From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB,” Middleton, 42, said in the clip, which was posted on the couple’s X and Instagram accounts on Sunday.

“Congratulations on everything you have achieved. You have been an inspiration to us all,” the future king agreed.

The mother of three looked happy as she stood next to her husband, who sported a beard in the clip.

Princess Catherine wore a striped black and white shirt similar to the one she wore when she announced her cancer diagnosis to the world in March.

She let her brunette curls fall straight and had a subtle side parting.

William, for his part, forwent his usual clean-shaven look and instead presented himself with a three-day beard and a blue Adidas polo shirt with the Olympic logo.

“Well done @teamgb what an incredible journey!” read the caption. “Every athlete showed tremendous dedication, heart and passion. You have made us all so proud!”

“We celebrate every triumph at @paris2024 and look forward to more from @paralympicsgb_official later in the summer 🇬🇧🥇.”

The video also included special messages from Snoop Dogg and David Beckham.

Although the Welshwoman did not take part in the Paris Olympics, her absence came as no surprise after it was announced that she would be taking time out from the public eye to focus on her cancer treatment.

After the shocking news that she had cancer, the princess wrote in a letter that she was “making good progress” but had had “good days and bad days” during her chemotherapy.

The following day, Middleton joined the royal family in King Charles’ birthday celebrations on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

William and Prince George, for their part, travelled to Berlin, Germany last month to attend the EURO 2024 final. AP

Last month, she took part in the Wimbledon tennis championships, which will reportedly be her last public appearance for the foreseeable future.

In the meantime, William and the couple’s eldest son, Prince George, travelled to Berlin to Attend the EURO 2024 final as England take on Spain in a football match.
