Habitat for Humanity in the Fayetteville area announces Veteran’s Build Season of Service 2024

Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity (FAHFH) is proud to announce our upcoming 2024 Veteran’s Build service season, dedicated to honoring and supporting local veterans through essential home repairs and community engagement. During this year’s service season, the organization intends to complete eight to eleven veteran repairs, including three significant essential repairs with the help of community volunteers.

Last year, the Veteran’s Build Season of Service included more than 1,080 hours of service over six days of service.

Thanks to the help of over 100 community volunteers, including veterans and active duty soldiers, critical repairs were made to nine veteran-owned homes.

FAHFH’s Veteran’s Build 2024 will feature several key initiatives, including the dedication of a Missing Man Table and the presentation of a 9/11 Remembrance Day exhibit at the Habitat ReStore at 3833 Bragg Boulevard.

Volunteer event dates include:

  • September 13-14, 2024: In honor of Patriot Day
  • October 25-26, 2024: In honor of National Deployed Personnel Day
  • November 8-9, 2024: In honor of Veterans Day

How you can support us:

  • Volunteer: Volunteer at a veterans home or veterans event by contacting the FAHFH office at (910) 483-0952 or [email protected].
