David, a platform that develops muscle building and fat loss tools, announced a $10 million seed funding round. This investment was led by David CEO and co-founder Peter Rahal, with additional participation from Valor Siren Ventures’ Peter Attia, MD, and Andrew Huberman, Ph.D.
David’s co-founders, Peter Rahal (founder of protein snack brand RXBAR) and Zach Ranen (former investor and founder of RAIZE), have extensive experience. Rahal has been obsessed with protein bars since childhood and has dedicated his career to developing the perfect protein bar. And Ranen worked with the RAIZE team to develop and scale the line of low-carb desserts.
The team will use this funding to continue developing science-based, delicious foods and build its team of industry-leading strategists, scientists and health experts. And the company’s first product is a protein bar that will have the highest protein content per calorie of any protein bar currently available. The bars will be sugar-free, gluten-free and free of artificial sweeteners/flavors.
