Aruga celebrates new client wins and recruits Jarrod Meakins as Account Director – Campaign letter

The leading independent PR, marketing and communications agency Aruga has started the new financial year with great success and can welcome new clients, new projects and a new member of the management team.

The Brisbane-headquartered agency has announced its re-appointment by the Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) to provide consumer PR services in financial year 2025.

Donna Kramer, co-founder of the agency, said winning the tender was a testament to the creative thinking, hard work and incredible results Aruga had achieved over the past two and a half years: “We are incredibly proud of our Brisbane roots. This city is our home, our place of business and our playground and we are honoured to be able to partner with BEDA at a time of undeniable growth and change for the city.”

“We have already begun exploring new experiences and exciting opportunities to promote Brisbane as a leading destination for leisure travel, major events and business events.”

In other exciting news from the travel and leisure industry, the agency has been re-appointed to support the PR and media efforts to attract guests to The Westin Brisbane, with its remit now expanded to include the Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane.

Aruga also welcomes generous new client The Sapphire Committee, a charity dedicated to supporting the Queensland Children’s Hospital Foundation and ensuring continued innovation in paediatric medicine.

Aruga will support its important work through marketing, PR, storytelling and partnership strategies.

Due to the influx of new business, Aruga was able to strengthen its ranks by hiring new Account Director Jarrod Meakins.

His appointment sees Meakins return to the agency after eight years in the tourism industry, including six years at Tourism and Events Queensland as a content planner, creative and content specialist and head of marketing programs.

He is a creative problem solver and behavior changer with over a decade of experience in national and international marketing and PR campaigns.

The appointment of Meakins to the Aruga team will enable the integrated communications agency to further expand its digital marketing offering.
