Trump campaign creates a website about Kamala Harris’ politics in epic troll – and points out her lack of one

CHICAGO — Donald Trump’s campaign on Wednesday slammed Vice President Kamala Harris for still not having a political page on her campaign website, which she has instead created for her as she prepares to deliver her acceptance speech for the Democratic presidential nomination on Thursday.

“Kamala Harris hasn’t told voters what her policies are yet, so we thought we could help them. Kamala Harris wants to open the borders, raise taxes and release criminals,” said Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt.

The former president’s campaign team directed readers of its press release to the new website, kamala2024policies.com, where they can find an overview of some of the Democratic candidate’s most controversial policy positions over the years.

Trump’s campaign said it set up the website so people could “see Kamala Harris’ vision for America, which includes abolishing bail, opening the border and defunding the police.”

The website lists her political views as including “fighting to free murderers” – which includes her support for a bail fund during the 2020 protests and riots following the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police.

Harris “supported the Minnesota Freedom Fund and helped secure bail for now-convicted murderers and violent criminals. One man who was released through the bail fund later committed murder,” the fake platform says.

Her other positions include “Abolish Borders” – citing her record as President Biden’s point person in reducing illegal immigration, which instead reached new record highs – and “Bring Back the Green New Deal.”

Harris, 59, has backed away from some of her previous policy demands, including her promises as a candidate in the 2019 Democratic primary to eliminate private health insurance, decriminalize illegal border crossings and ban fracking for oil and natural gas.

Trump’s allies say her changing positions show she is a political “chameleon” – meaning voters may not know which policy line they are actually voting for in the Nov. 5 election.

The vice president has benefited from a prolonged “honeymoon” period since Biden, 81, withdrew his candidacy for a second term on July 21 and endorsed her – partly because she has not given a single media interview that would have thrown her off track while polls indicate a closer race with Trump, 78.

Harris’ campaign team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
