MCDONALD’S Instagram account was hacked this afternoon, with the brand quickly repelling the attack – but not before fast food lovers noticed the bizarre changes.
Screenshots show that McDonald’s profile bio was changed to a strange message about cryptocurrencies before Instagram was restored to normal.
The suspected hackers also published two posts on the page, including a music video, before the fast-food chain regained control of the account.
“What’s up my n***a, you just got the rug pulled out from under you,” the bio briefly read, mentioning another Instagram name.
“Thank you for the $700,000 in Solana,” the message, which also featured the Indian flag, added.
The biography also included a link to Telegram, a messaging app.
The username referenced in the bio has an X account under the same name – and that profile’s bio claimed another major fast-food chain may have been hacked.
“Next up is KFC,” the account’s bio read.
The US Sun has asked McDonald’s for comment.
