Cleveland women told former CNN anchor Don Lemon in a video released Tuesday that they wanted to vote for former President Trump rather than Vice President Kamala Harris.
Lemon shared a video on his account “X” in which he spoke to six women of color from Cleveland about their feelings toward the two presidential candidates. All of them, except one, who said she didn’t vote, were for Trump.
“I’m voting for Trump. I feel like every time they don’t want someone who’s good for us to win, they put a black man in front of us and think that’s going to make us vote for the black man,” one woman said.
She later added: “I’m voting for Trump. Kamala was on the Biden team and I don’t like Biden. Gas prices weren’t as high when Trump was our president. Grocery prices weren’t as high. I’m voting for Trump.”

“I voted for Obama because he is black. I don’t want to vote for her because she is the first black woman to run for president and win,” a second woman said.
She added: “I support Trump … because something has to change. It has to change. And now I’m more likely to vote for what’s better for me as a person than for the black man or the First Lady.”
“So, I want Donald Trump. I’m sorry. I want Donald Trump,” said a third woman.
Lemon asked, “Why are you apologizing?”
“Well, I know nobody likes him, but we had good times with Donald Trump,” the woman replied.
A fourth woman commented: “I used to be against Trump. I lived in Virginia. I saw the bad side of it, but when I moved to Cleveland, I saw the other side.”

Some of the women also criticized Harris’ behavior and called her a “hypocrite.”
A fifth woman, who said she has always been a fan of Trump, said of Harris: “I think she’s fake and phony. You know, I say – well, you know, I say, Trump says, you know, what are you? Well, I – I can’t understand her. People get upset about it, I just can’t understand her.”
The third woman added: “I don’t like her – the way she talks, the exuberance, the laughter. Everything is a joke and yet not a joke. We are in trouble.”
Other interviews with Cleveland that Lemon shared on his YouTube show also featured women who preferred Harris to Trump.
The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Lemon had previously spoken to voters in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While most voters in Pittsburgh planned to support Harris, voters in Atlantic City surprised Lemon by expressing their support for Trump.

“Four years ago, things were much better. I made a lot more money than I do now,” said one voter in New Jersey.
