Children are invited to bring bicycles to offer the Ravens and Packers players a ride to practice

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The following information comes from the Green Bay Packers:

The Packers will welcome the Baltimore Ravens to Green Bay this week for a joint practice on Thursday, August 22, before the two teams’ preseason game on Saturday, August 24. Thursday will also be the last public practice of the Packers’ 2024 training camp.

Practice will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Ravens will begin practice at Clarke Hinkle Field on the west side of the Don Hutson Center before joining the Packers at Ray Nitschke Field on the east side of the Don Hutson Center for the joint portion of each practice.

To help Ravens players experience one of the NFL’s most famous training camp traditions, children of all fan bases are encouraged to bring their bikes to Lambeau Field before practice to offer the Ravens and Packers a ride. Each Ravens player will ride a bike to practice if there are enough bikes available, so fans and community members are encouraged to come and welcome the team in true Green Bay fashion.

In order to provide a ride to the Ravens, children are asked to line up with their bikes near the visitor’s locker room, which is located next to the Invisalign gate on the south end of Lambeau Field off of Valley View Road. Children can line up as early as 8 a.m., but must be there by 9:30 a.m. in order for the Ravens to arrive for practice. A bike corral will be set up to direct children and players from the locker room door east through the Lambeau Field parking lot and across Oneida Street. Ravens players will enter the practice field through a gate in the fence surrounding Clarke Hinkle Field.

During practice, children can park their bikes at the Hinkle Field fence and wait for practice to end. Then they can offer their bikes to Ravens players exiting the field through the gate so they can ride back to the locker room.

To ensure a smooth and safe ride to practice, police will direct traffic on Oneida between Lombardi Avenue and Mike McCarthy Way before and after practice. Visitors should know that Packers players will continue to ride bicycles as normal DreamDrive operations will take place outside the Oneida Nation Gate.
