Originally created from the partnership between Andy Balcon And Damien Felix who met on tours with their respective bands (Heymoshaker And catfish), Dead Chic In 2022, a more concrete collaboration took place.

Towards the end of 2024, the band (rounded off by Rémi Ferbus on drums and Mathis Akengin on keyboards) are preparing for the release of their debut album.

In anticipation, the band has released the first single “Paris” today. This anthemic single takes you into a Morricone-esque universe and promises an adventure on the big trails, no matter what vehicle you use.

To visually represent this Western-style soundtrack, the band hired director Anastasja Black and producer Rowan Biddiscombeknown for the band’s previous music videos.

And here is the video in all its spaghetti western-inspired glory:

The band said about the single:

“‘Paris’ was one of the first songs we wrote for this album. In fact, the first ideas came in the studio when we were mixing our previous EP, it evolved a lot until it reached its final form, but from the beginning there was this very Morriconian cavalcade thing in the guitar riff of the intro. That song kind of laid the foundation for the album with its epic side.”

The band told us about the location of the clip:

“The clip, directed by Anastasja Black and Rowan Biddiscombe, was filmed in the south of Spain near Almeria, the very place where Sergio Leone shot some of his most beautiful films. The setting is magnificent and suited our song perfectly. It is with great joy and a certain excitement that we unveil this track, which introduces our debut album ‘Serenades and Damnation’.”
