The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is 46% off, making it an incredibly good gadget if you’re looking for a bargain.
It’s an age-old story: when a new model comes out, the previous model becomes cheaper, making it more affordable for many people who don’t want to spend too much money or who want to try out a device in a cost-effective way.
With Father’s Day fast approaching, it’s no wonder we’re seeing more and more of these good deals. Just yesterday I wrote about the Samsung Galaxy A55, my personal favorite budget smartphone, dropping to the lowest price I’ve ever seen for it. And lo and behold, my favorite smartwatch has gotten a similar discount, although it’s only about AU$5 away from the cheapest deal we’ve ever seen for it.
Considering that the Galaxy Watch 6 is also available at JB Hi-Fi for a discounted price of AU$299, you’ll save a dollar by purchasing it at Amazon, where the price is reduced to AU$298.
In our review of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, we found that the smartwatch has a nicer, much more modern design than its predecessor, the Watch 5. The higher performance of the Exynos W930 and the larger RAM, as well as the improved wellness and sleep tracking, make it an excellent accessory to consider if you want to take care of your health.
Be aware of the limited battery life, though—you’ll get a maximum of 40 hours per charge. I wear the Watch 6 every day myself and haven’t had any issues with battery life. The Bluetooth + LTE model lasted me over three days on a single charge. However, it may not last as long if you’re heavily involved in activities that require more power from the watch to track. The watch also can’t share fitness data with Google Fit, which we found to be a downside in our testing.
This discount only applies to the black 40mm model with Bluetooth connectivity, while there’s a 42% discount on the larger 44mm model. If you really want LTE (or cellular) connectivity to be able to use the watch without the phone paired, note that only the 44mm option is 44% off – now just AU$388.54. We can’t guarantee how long this deal will last, but if you already use a Samsung phone, it’s not one you’ll want to miss out on.
