To end the regime’s aggression, the US must stop its support for Israel

A senior leader of the Palestinian resistance movement says the war will “not end the way the Israeli enemy imagined.”

Osama Hamdan, Hamas representative in Lebanon and a member of the group’s political bureau, said the outcome of this confrontation would be “in favor of the resistance.”

“If the mediators want to end the aggression, the United States must end its support for the entity,” he added.

Hamdan made these remarks in an interview with Hezbollah news channel Al-Manar on Sunday.

“Our position is clear and we are not waiting for a discussion about new papers and titles,” he said, referring to the talks that had taken place between mediators to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

“We have agreed on a document and are now waiting for the announcement of mechanisms for implementation, including the cessation of aggression, its withdrawal, assistance to the Gaza Strip and the start of reconstruction,” he added.

Hamas has reportedly accepted an Egyptian-Qatari proposal that includes a ceasefire, a complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, a prisoner exchange, the reconstruction of the territory and the lifting of the Israeli blockade.

However, Israel rejected the ceasefire agreement. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that a withdrawal of occupation troops from the Gaza Strip would “leave Hamas intact.”

Hamdan said: “The Israelis want to evade the obligation to a ceasefire.”

“The Zionists are wrong in their assessment. They believe that the resistance has been weakened, but the battlefield confirms that it is fighting just as fiercely as in the first days,” he added.

“We will not believe that Netanyahu agreed to the agreement until he stops committing crimes and withdraws his troops from the Gaza Strip,” he added.

He added: “We have taken several measures, in particular the agreement with the Fatah movement in China, which will be the cornerstone of any new agreements.”

“We maintain our position that there must be a ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation, relief, reconstruction and a full prisoner exchange,” the Hamas representative said.

“The worst thing Netanyahu is facing today is that every time he thinks he is one step closer to victory, he sinks lower,” he said.

“Our message is clear: we defend our rights, our land, our people and our future. This defense will take all forms and means. The real solution lies in ending the occupation, not in finding solutions that lead to further escalation,” said the resistance leader.

“The events in the region will have strategic implications and the resistance has options, tools and capabilities that have always been known to humans,” he added.

“We expect a victory and an achievement for the resistance in the region and for its entire axis. This country will witness an achievement that it once thought impossible,” he said.

“The Iranian response will affect the course of the struggle with the enemy at any moment, whether it precedes or follows negotiations. If it comes before negotiations, its message will be significant,” he noted.

On July 31, Israel, with US support, assassinated Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, who was in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

The terrorist attack followed another assassination by the Zionist regime in which Fuad Shukr, a high-ranking commander of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, was murdered in Beirut.
