Kamala Harris’ campaign stop in Moon Township draws crowds, including hordes of counter-protesters

Democratic presidential candidates Vice President Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz traveled through Western Pennsylvania on Sunday afternoon before flying to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention.

Vice President Harris and Tim Walz made several appearances in the Pittsburgh area, including in Rochester, Aliquippa and Moon Township. These stops drew hordes of Trump supporters who were there to let the Harris campaign know what they thought about Harris’ arrival.

Trump supporters came and waved their banners and signs. One group of people belonged to the “MAGA Warriors,” a group of “committed Trump supporters.”

An anonymous passerby said: “I heard Kamala is coming to MAGA country. I wanted to let her know that it is MAGA country and that we all support Trump here.”

Many of her supporters echoed the same sentiment when asking questions about Kamala’s policies. Many protesters addressed the border and demanded that it be made more secure.

Kamala even had some supporters cheering her on as her motorcade stormed down University Boulevard. One Harris supporter declared, “I support Kamala and Walz for the presidency and vice presidency of the United States of America.”

When asked about Kamala’s strengths, one of her supporters said Harris has a talent for “bringing people together… She doesn’t call anyone names and stays focused, brings everyone to the table, whether they’re white, African-American, Latino, gay or lesbian. She brings everyone together.”

This was the last stop of the campaign before the Democratic Party Convention, which will take place in Chicago from August 19 to 22.
