Former Russian politician Irina Khakamada was defrauded by fraudsters. She was left without 400,000 rubles.
“Irina Khakamada got a divorce for 400,000 rubles. The scammers wrote to her on behalf of a friend and asked to lend her money,” writes the Telegram channel Baza.
According to him, on Friday, August 16, a friend, doctor Lyudmila Vasilyeva, wrote her a letter by courier.
“The women talked about common topics that only they could know. After that, Vasilyeva told Irina that she was in Paris and asked for a loan of 400,000 rubles. Khakamada believed it and transferred the money to her friend. Although the recipient was a certain David, a friend explained that this was necessary. The next day, Khakamada decided to call Lyudmila and ask if she had received the money. But Vasilyeva suddenly replied that she had not called Irina and had not lent any money. Khakamada did not expect such a turn of events and immediately went to the police,” writes Baza.
Last week, Irina Khakamada became the second famous person to be grossly deceived by scammers. Previously, her victim was the singer Irina Dolina.
As EADaily reported that on the morning of August 13, unknown persons tried to break into the apartment of the People’s Artist of Russia. They entered the cordoned-off territory of an elite house and tried to get into the star’s apartment, claiming that it was their property.
According to Telegram channel 112, HOA employees tried to find out who the unknown people were. One of them showed a passport of a foreign citizen in English. The “owners” did not provide any other documents.
Fraudsters have put the actress’s apartment up for auction.
Dolina confirmed that she had become a victim of sophisticated and planned fraudulent actions by persons from Ukraine. As a result, a criminal case was initiated, the artist herself was recognized as a victim, and her apartment was confiscated.
