“Yes, boss!”
I can assure you that you will say this again and again, because The bear Season 4 is confirmed and this is what we know about it so far.
The bear Season 3 premiered in June 2024 as part of the TV schedule 2024. In a month full of anticipated releases like the Disney+ star Wars series, The Acolyte and the return of both The boys And House of the Dragon, This series ended an eventful month of television with its third season.
And of course The bear received critical acclaim for its third season and was a hit on Hulu, one of the best streaming services out there. So it is not surprising that a fourth season of this popular black comedy has already been confirmed. But when will it be released? Will this be the last season? Here’s what we know.
When is the premiere date of The Bear season 4?
At the time of writing this article, in August 2024, there are no set premiere date for The bear Season 4, which is no big surprise since Season 3 ended just a month ago. A premiere date already would be quite surprising.
Apart from that, The bear is one of those shows that has been consistent. While we wait years for most other shows these days – like Wednesday Season 2, or The Sorcerer Season 4 or even the next season of House of the Dragon – this show has a new season every year, so I would honestly say we can expect season 4 in 2025.
Cast of “The Bear” Season 4
At the time of writing this article, no appearance has been confirmed, but there are several characters from The bear pour that we can see again in season 4. These include:
- Jeremy Allen White as Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto
- Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richard “Richie” Jerimovich
- Ayo Edebiri as Sydney Adamu
- Lionel Boyce as Marcus Brooks
- Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina Marrero
- Abby Elliott as Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto
- Matty Matheson as Neil Fak
It would not really The bear without these prominent cast members, as the show tends to focus on their lives, and sometimes in great single-episode stories. Damn, just from season 2, Richie became one of my favorite characters – the solo episodes of the main characters are always among the best.
The bear is also known for having many great guest stars. Some you may remember appearing on the show occasionally include:
- Jon Bernthal as Michael “Mikey” Berzatto
- Gillian Jacobs as Tiffany “Tiff” Jerimovich
- Jamie Lee Curtis as Donna Berzatto
- Olivia Colman as Chef Andrea Terry
- Will Poulter as Luca
- Sarah Paulson as Michelle Berzatto
There are many other guest stars who have also appeared. My personal favorite has always been Jamie Lee Curtis as Donna and of course her episode “Ice Chips” in season 3was a dream. But literally any of those guest stars could come back and I would be happy.
What will The Bear season 4 be about?
So there were obviously many things that remained in limbo after The bear Season 3 is over, but two of them were about Sydney and Carmy.
In season 3, Sydney, who plays an important role in The Bear,, is offered a job as CDC (Chef de Cuisine) with Adam when he wants to open his restaurant and employ her there. At the same time, she is offered to sign a contract that gives her part of the ownership of the restaurant, But because of this, and because of her resentment toward Carmy, since he has begun to strip away any control she truly has, she is hesitant to sign.
Towards the end, Sydney is quite panicked about the whole situation – so much so that she has a panic attack when she realises how much the restaurant has changed. Her decision has not been made yet, and this will most likely be a major storyline during The bear Season 4.
On the other hand, we have Carmy, who at the very end sees that the tribune Rating of the restaurant has officially risen – and he also has several missed calls from Cicero and Computer. We see several great and also bad adjectives, and we have no idea what the hell is going to happen, which leaves that open as well.
This criticism will most likely be a major story point in the next season. Nevertheless, even actor Lionel Boyce (Marcus) said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in June 2024 that we can theorize as much as we want – the show will always find a way to subvert expectations, even its own:
Until then, that’s all we know about the story – but I’m excited to see what happens next.
Season 4 could be the end of the series, or not – depending on the story
While season 4 was confirmed earlier this year, there is no confirmation for season 5 yet, leading to rumors that Season 4 could be the end of the series.
But in an interview with diversity In July 2024, FX boss John Landgraf said it was really a “creative decision” whether or not it ends after season 4 – meaning that if Chris Storer (the creator) wants it to end then, he can, or if he wants the story to continue, then it will continue:
Honestly, I personally love The bear and I think it’s one of the best shows on Hulu/FX, so I’m excited to see how many seasons I get of it.
Some parts of the fourth season have already been filmed
And last but not least, we know that at least some the fourth season was filmed. In a report by Deadline Back in March 2024, it was reported that season 4 would be filmed right after season 3. FX or Hulu have yet to officially confirm this, but we have received confirmation from a few other sources.
In a press conference in June 2024 (via Vanity Fair), Chris Storer and Ayo Edebiri (Sydney) commented on this when asked if the seasons were filmed back to back. Storer said: “Something like that,” while Edebiri replied: “Yeah, a little version of that, sort of. But not exactly.”
In an interview that Matty Matheson gave with diversity In June 2024, he was asked several questions about the back-to-back filming and did not deny anything. The actor even said it was difficult to remember specific points from both seasons that he could talk about:
Without any real confirmation as to whether the entire The bear Season 4 has been filmed, we just have to wait for updates.
What are you most looking forward to? The bear? All I know is that I’m ready to see all that delicious food again and feel all that pain again. Here we go.
