It will be a memorable Tuesday evening for White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Earlier in the evening, Jean-Pierre shared a tweet that was apparently intended for President Biden’s account. She wrote: “Investing in America means investing in ALL of America. When I ran for president, I promised that I would not leave any part of the country behind.”
Although she quickly deleted the message, the internet spun even faster. Soon there were numerous messages alerting Jean-Pierre to her mistake.
Twitter user @ALX simply wrote: “Wrong account bro.”
Simon Ateba, chief White House correspondent for Today News Africa, gave his own take on the matter, writing: “Oh wow! You tweeted from the wrong account!” @PressSec Karine Jean-Pierre has not, at least to my knowledge, applied for the presidency.”
The Washington Examiner also joined in the discussion and described Jean-Pierre’s mishap as a “bizarre statement.”
Others pointed to the error as evidence that President Biden does not write his own tweets or social media messages, a claim made by former President Donald Trump since the 2020 presidential campaign.
Columnist Joe Concha said: “Well, I guess we know who wrote President Biden’s tweets for him. (A) Karine Jean-Pierre (not good) (B) White House intern (also not good) (C) The person who left cocaine in the White House (*really* not good).”

Writer Ashley St. Clair played along, joking that the real fault might lie with a White House intern. As she put it, “Does Karine Jean-Pierre write Joe Biden’s tweets or are they using the same intern?”
Jean-Pierre has not yet commented on what went wrong.
