NFL analyst says commanders should put Dyami Brown on the trade list

The Washington Commanders have struggled on offense for years. Although they have continually signed talented players to fix the problem, the production just hasn’t been there. This has been especially true for the wide receivers over the years. Despite signing players like Jahan Dotson and Dyami Brown through the NFL Draft, the Commanders’ passing game has consistently struggled.

Aside from Terry McLaurin, who has over 1,000 yards as a receiver in each of the last four seasons, the Commanders have been unable to find an offensive weapon that would improve their passing game. They tried again this season, signing wide receiver Luke McCaffrey and tight end Ben Sinnott in the 2024 NFL Draft. The early results are looking good. So good that one NFL analyst believes the Commanders should release Brown for a transfer.

NFL analyst Ryan Fowler of Bleacher Report believes the Commanders should trade the struggling wide receiver while he still has some value. Brown wasn’t a factor in the Commanders’ offense during his three seasons in Washington, but he showed flashes of potential in the team’s first preseason game this year against the New York Jets.

That potential, combined with Brown’s young age, could entice a team to take advantage of his potential. Brown put together two consecutive great seasons at North Carolina, catching 106 passes for over 2,100 yards and 20 touchdowns before declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft. That performance could be enough to convince a team that a change of scenery can unlock Brown’s potential.
