BEACH FORECAST: High pressure will dominate the region for the first half of the weekend, meaning plenty of sunshine and a very low chance of rain. Saturday will be mostly sunny with isolated thunderstorms and highs around 35 degrees. Humidity will slowly increase over the weekend, but storm chances won’t increase until late Sunday afternoon. With a cold front approaching for the second half of the weekend, expect some storms in the late afternoon and evening. Some of the storms could be strong or even violent, with gusty winds. Highs will be around 35 degrees on Sunday, but the higher humidity will make it feel more like 38 degrees. The front looks to drift just offshore early Monday, allowing drier conditions to return. With the front stalled offshore and a sea breeze in the afternoon, isolated thunderstorms are in the forecast for most of the week. However, the weather is dominated by high pressure, so expect quite a bit of sunshine, seasonal temperatures and a low chance of rain.

Hurricane Ernesto is impacting Bermuda as it continues to move north-northeast. The only impacts we can expect in the Lowcountry are strong swells and a high risk of rip currents through the weekend.
