Noah Lyles still trolls professional athletes and pretends not to know who Tyreek Hill is

Earlier this week, Tyreek Hill claimed he could beat Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles in a footrace. Now Lyles is responding – in the most petty way imaginable.

In an interview with NBC Sports, Lyles pretended he didn’t even know who Hill was, saying, “What’s the name of the guy… What’s the name of the cheetah from football? I can’t remember his name. Mark! What’s the name of the football player who thinks he’s fast?”

“Tyreek Hill,” Lyles finally said after a long time.

OK, Noah.

But Lyles, fresh off a gold and bronze medal win at the Paris Summer Olympics, isn’t exactly making friends among his fellow American athletes. It all started last September when he criticized NBA teams for declaring themselves “world champions” after winning a title – sparking a dispute with the entire league.

“You know, what hurts me the most is that I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have ‘World Champion’ written on the head,” Lyle said. “World Champion of what? The United States?”

He made a similar comment about NFL teams winning the Super Bowl. The Monday episode of On and Adamsasked presenter Kay Adams Hill what he thought about it.

“Come on, brother, just talk about what you know about, and that’s track and field,” Hill replied. “I’d beat Noah Lyles (in a race).”

If any team athlete has a chance to beat Lyles in a race, it’s Tyreek Hill. After all, he’s the fastest man in the NFL.

But Lyles is the fastest man in the world. The 27-year-old won the Olympic 100m in a personal best of 9.79 seconds. Hill’s personal best, set in 2012, is 10.19 secondswhich would have earned him 34th place in Paris. The 200 m was Hill’s better discipline — he ran 20.14 seconds as a high school graduate. But it is also Lyles’ specialty. His personal best of 19.31 is an American record.

But hey, there’s a really easy way to fix this, gentlemen. Who’s in?
