Pokémon releases adorable safety video for airplanes in Japan

The Japanese airline ANA has released a new aircraft safety video featuring various Pokémon.

The Pokémon brand has a long-standing relationship with ANA, and has adorned several of its jets with Pokémon characters over the past few decades, but this safety video is the first of its kind—and it’s worth watching to see numerous Pokémon grappling with good flight etiquette.

While Pikachu and Pichu are of course the stars, you also see a slightly disturbing Jigglypuff scolding a man for vaping, Mr Mime miming safety instructions, and Floatzle showing up to show off his own built-in life jacket.

Meanwhile, the fact that Machoke does not fasten his seatbelt over his “pants” will likely reignite the debate about whether or not he is wearing clothes…

You can only see the video if you travel on ANA’s specially decorated Pikachu and Eevee jets, which fly from Tokyo’s Narita and Haneda airports to around two dozen destinations, mostly in Australia, North America and Asia. There is only one European route – to and from London Heathrow. Or you can watch the video above via YouTube.
