Barry’s RIDE x LIFT expands internationally to Germany

The cycling and strength course of the popular workout brand starts in Frankfurt

Barry’s, known for its high-energy interval training, launches internationally in Frankfurt, Germany. The launch of RIDE x LIFT, which began in Los Angeles in 1998, is the first international expansion of this class outside of the United States.

RIDE x LIFT is currently only offered in two locations in the U.S.: Chelsea, New York City, and West Hollywood. The expansion underscores Barry’s commitment to expanding not only his signature training globally, but also his new modalities.

Joey Gonzalez, Global Co-CEO of Barry’s, commented, “Our customers love our RIDE x LIFT concept in the US and we are thrilled to open our first international studio in Frankfurt! Our mission is to change lives worldwide and we believe expanding our offering internationally to include those looking for low-impact cardio training will help us achieve our goals on a larger scale.”

RIDE x LIFT is a 50-minute class that combines Barry’s signature strength training with a light cardio workout on a bike, replacing the treadmill typically used in Barry’s classes. The workout format follows Barry’s philosophy of focusing on specific muscle groups each day, similar to the original workout. Users can adjust the speed of the bike and the weight of their equipment to create a customized experience.

Barry’s new RIDE x LIFT classes will be offered at its existing studio in Frankfurt, located at Opernplatz 14, 60313 Frankfurt am Main. To celebrate the launch, Barry’s is offering several promotions at the Frankfurt location, including a “First Ride On Us” offer where newcomers can try the RIDE x LIFT workout for free. Classes are available from €28 per session.

In an interview with ATN last summer, Gonzalez said Barry’s could quadruple its studio presence in the U.S. by 2030, so the brand would then have around 200 studios in the U.S. The brand continues to expand internationally, with its newest locations in Israel, Bahrain, Barcelona, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
