Frostbite is a condition that deals damage to enemies in an area and weakens them.

When a weapon creates a Frost Vortex, enemies within 15 feet are trapped and gain 30 percent Psi intensity status damage per second for up to four seconds.

A weapon can generate
up to two frost vortex areas
unless an ability of a piece of equipment grants an additional one.

The type of damage the Frost Vortex causes is frost. This cannot be critical, nor can it hit weak points. Nor will it decrease with distance.

This build is ideal for deal with multiple hordes of enemiesbecause the Frost Vortex can slow them down and deal damage at the same time.

The KAM – LOOK INTO THE ABYSS is the best choice as a primary weapon when it comes to a Frost Vortex build. The KV-SBR – FREEZING RAIN is a good option if you don’t have enough Starchrome for the assault rifle yet.

For a secondary weapon, the DE.50 – WILDFIRE Pistol is a good option. With this weapon you get a 60 percent chance of triggering the bullseye to one target and there is an 80 percent chance that it will be transferred to a second target.

If there are no enemies in an area to distribute the Bull’s Eye to, Damage is increased by 25 percent for ten seconds.

The bullseye is a condition that can be inflicted on hit targets, and they suffer from the vulnerability of a
additional eight percent for 12 seconds

Marked enemies using this pistol also take three percent more damage if you target their weak point for ten seconds. This condition stacks up to three times.

Best Frostwhirl Armor

When it comes to gear, it’s a good idea to go with a set. Different gear sets will give you unique bonuses as you have more items equipped in the set. For the Frost Vortex build: the Shelterer is a great set to aim for.

The Shelterer set offers additional buffs with each additional piece:

Status damage reduced by 15 percent.
Elemental damage increased by eight percent.
Each weapon hit grants a stack of Deviant Energy up to a maximum of 20 stacksEach stack grants an additional point of elemental damage, but reloading removes half of all stacks.
Max. Deviating Energy Stack increases by ten. When a weak spot is hit, two additional stacks are granted.
