Nothing upsets churchgoers more than swimming in the family pool when you should be in church.

When disputes arose within the church over the property line, the family added an artistic addition to their fence that made the congregation blush.

Read on to find out how it all happened!

This happened about 15 years ago at our previous home in another state.

The backyard of the house bordered the parking lot and the entrance to the local Church of the Nazarene.

We had a pool installed in the back yard, and the uptight church members, who were mostly from the baby boomer generation, did not like me, my wife, the children who still lived at home, and the young grandchildren going swimming on Sunday mornings or during the evening service during the week.

They refused to remain silent about their dislike.

This developed into a border dispute and I said, “Okay, so you want to mess around a bit and maybe try to burden me with the cost of a border survey and legal fees?”

Here is my answer.

We erected a “temporary” 10-foot privacy fence far enough away from the disputed property line and asked a very talented friend to paint “disputed” Renaissance-style figures on the side of the fence facing their church.

The church obviously disapproved of this.

They’ve completely lost their minds.

They threatened to file a civil lawsuit, but never did so.

When they finally had a survey done, it turned out that about 46 square meters of their parking space was actually on our property.

In a similar way, they had also crossed the property boundary of two neighbors.

However, it has brought great benefit to the family.

I then informed them that they would have to pay rent of $500 per month for that portion of their parking space.

They paid for 3-4 months before they redesigned their parking lot to actually match the property lines of my neighbors and us.

We bought our current home about a year later when we were offered a better job out of state.

As far as I know, the fence and the artwork are still there today.

They fooled around and figured it out.

Reddit certainly has one or two clever comments on this situation.

Take THAT, you pious idiots!

Ultimately, the church’s plans failed disastrously.

Sounds like they should have just minded their own business!
