Coronation Street Spoilers follow.

Dylan Wilson faces serious consequences for telling another big lie in Coronation Street’s bullying storyline.

The teenager has made the risky decision to try to cover up bully Mason Radcliffe’s abuse of Liam Connor, fearing that Mason might turn on him next.

Wednesday’s episode (March 6) picked up where Jake Windass told Maria and Gary that Mason had not only bullied Liam, but also threatened him with a zombie knife.

Liam was horrified when Maria and Gary took him to the police station to tell Craig Tinker about Mason’s knife threats.

It wasn’t long before Craig and two other police officers showed up at the Grimshaws’ house to search for the gun.

Sean was outraged by the accusation and insisted to Craig that there was no zombie knife in their house. Dylan, meanwhile, sat quietly in the corner as the search began.

“We have evidence that (Dylan) was present when the knife was used to threaten a minor and that he may have hidden it,” Craig explained.

When the police left the scene without finding the weapon, Eileen warned Dylan that he would be in serious trouble if there was “even a shred of truth” in the accusation.

“There’s no truth in that,” Dylan insisted.

Later, Dylan met with Mason and was alarmed when the thug said he wished he still had the knife so he could teach Liam a lesson.

“(The police) have nothing on me. The thing is, I already have a criminal record for handling a knife. So if I get caught, that’s it. I’m going to youth detention,” Mason told him.

Mason told Dylan to get the knife and hit him in the ravine with it. This turned out to be a set-up, because instead Craig approached him while Mason was nowhere to be seen.

Dylan was arrested and taken to the local precinct, where he was met by his father Sean and attorney Dee Dee Bailey before being questioned. Dee Dee encouraged Dylan to fight back against Mason once and for all.

Dylan bravely told the police the truth about Mason’s intimidation tactics and threats. Although he had hoped to get off with a warning, Dee Dee later shared the bad news that Child Protective Services had decided to charge him with aiding and abetting.
