Daddy Issues: Preview
Amiee Lou Wood, best known from Netflix’ Sex education and is currently filming season 3 of The White Lotusplays 24-year-old Gemma. On the flight back from Portugal, she finds out that she is pregnant after an exciting affair, and this news makes her look for an adult to encourage her. But her mother (Susan Lynch) has decided to travel the world in an “Eat Pray Love” way, and her sister Charlotte (Sharon Rooney, My crazy fat diary) is in prison.
That leaves her with only her estranged father Malcolm (David Morrissey) to rely on. He’s affable but unable to boil an egg and lives in a run-down apartment for divorced men until Gemma suggests they move in together. Act hastily, regret slowly! It’s a desperate decision that has hilarious and heartwarming consequences for both of them.
Problems with the father is an exciting change for Morrissey, who is best known for dark dramas such as Red Riding And The Walking Dead. He will demonstrate his comedic talent together with an excellent ensemble, which also includes David Fynn (Am I unreasonable?) as Derek, another divorcee who clings to Malcolm like a life preserver, Arian Nik (Count Abdulla), Damien Molony (crash) and Sarah Hadland (Hang up) as Gemma’s alcoholic boss.
Full of laughs and painfully relatable family dynamics, read our guide below to find out how to watch it. Problems with the father online and free, from anywhere.
