The former glamour model was caught after returning to the UK for failing to appear in court and was remanded in custody at a police station in west London.

Katie had just returned from Turkey, where she had flown with her 31-year-old boyfriend JJ Slater and undergone a £10,000 (€12,000) facelift.

However, when she arrived home, she was met by police at the airport after a judge issued an arrest warrant for the 46-year-old for failing to appear at her hearing in a £760,000 bankruptcy case.

Following her detention, Katie appeared via video link for a hearing at a special bankruptcy court in the Rolls Building on Friday.

A judge warned her that her case was “quite a serious matter” and said she could not miss her next hearing by traveling abroad or going on vacation.

According to the Metropolitan Police, she will appear before the Royal Courts of Justice on Friday.

After Katie’s arrest X-Factor The duo Jedward expressed their support for the mother of five on social media and asked their fans to be “kind” to her.

The twins, whose real names are John and Edward Grimes, posted a photo of themselves with Katie and wrote: “Everyone please be kind to Katie Price. It’s a delicate situation and she deserves support and love. Please be sensitive, she is a human being and a mother with a big heart and deserves respect. Sending strength to her children and family.”

Katie shared her message on her own social media account, as well as another message from the Lucan-born artists, which read: “A true icon who has been through a lot. We all need to support her during this difficult time! No one else could handle the pressure and scrutiny! Let’s all surround Katie with love.”

Katie had previously stated that she was “not running away from the issue” when she failed to attend her hearing, but was “away working on a documentary about plastic surgery” at the time.

In a now-deleted statement on Instagram, Price wrote: “I am aware that I am being detained at the airport, which the courts obviously deem necessary.

“Of course, I hope for the sake of my son who is with me that they will at least give him some dignity and protection for his own good, because this will be extremely disturbing for him to watch.

“Although I understand the importance and seriousness of the matter, I feel like I am being treated like a criminal.”

Price was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March of this year.

At a hearing in February, Price was ordered to pay 40 percent of her monthly income from the erotic website OnlyFans to the trustee for the next three years in connection with her first bankruptcy.

In March, it was declared bankrupt for the second time after failing to pay a tax debt of over £750,000 to HM Revenue and Customs.
