Popular podcast host Joe Rogan warned Wednesday that Vice President Kamala Harris could ride a wave of “gaslighting” and win the upcoming election.

In a three-hour episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” comedian Adam Ray spoke with Rogan about Harris’ position in the race against former President Donald Trump. Rogan criticized the establishment media for turning against Trump after he entered the race in 2016 and suggested Harris could benefit from a media campaign in favor of her campaign.

“The turnaround that the media has done on him since he decided to run for president. When you see the machine go after a man. We’ve never seen the machine go after someone so brazenly. You know the indictments, the Russiagate story that’s on TV every night, all that. And then a few years ago, they loved him. He was – I think he was a Democrat until about 2000 and so, 2008 maybe so crazy,” Rogan said.

The podcast host further discussed how Trump claimed that former Democratic Speaker of the California State Assembly Willie Brown flew with him in a helicopter in the 1990s that had to make an emergency landing.

“I think that was a mistake he made, and then people say, ‘He’s old, she’s young,’ like did you fucking see their mistakes? That’s crazy. The gaslighting is crazy. It’s the same gaslighting they did to turn Trump into a monster, now they’re doing the same gaslighting to turn her into our future, our hope — and it’s working. It’s crazy to see that,” Rogan said.

According to Axios, Harris’ campaign was caught on Monday editing headlines from various media outlets so that they could appear as sponsored ads in Americans’ Google searches. Over the past 10 days, the campaign has reportedly edited headlines and descriptions of articles from nearly a dozen media outlets, including some from CNN, USA Today and NPR, the outlet reported.

“You know what she said, like he didn’t have an attack strategy. That’s not what I was trying to say, I think, when everyone got mad at me when I said what I liked about RFK Jr.,” Rogan continued. “Robert F. Kennedy is a guy who just tackles issues, takes action, talks about things. Trump has always attacked in the past, he’s attacked people, attacked people. But in this case, I feel like I don’t know if — what they’re doing right now, the way they’re putting him in the spotlight, I don’t know if she’s ever going to debate him.”

Last week, ABC News confirmed that both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have agreed to a debate on September 10. This followed Trump’s proposal for three debates with Harris in September. During a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, Trump suggested debates on various networks, including Fox News, ABC News and NBC News. The first debate is scheduled to take place on September 4.

Polls show Kamala Harris currently ahead of Donald Trump in swing states. A handful of Republicans – including businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway and former White House staffer Peter Navarro – have urged Trump to differentiate his campaign from Harris’s by focusing on his future policies and the successes of his first term.
