Upgrade Labs, the world’s first “Human Upgrade Center” and the brainchild of Bulletproof Coffee founder Dave Asprey, will open a new location in Park City at 6030 Market St., Suite 135, on August 24.
There will also be a grand opening event on October 11 and 12, which will include tours of the new center, an introduction to the brand’s performance and recovery technology, opening week discounts, prize draws and more. Mayor Nann Worel will join the festivities on October 11 at 2:45 p.m. Founder Asprey will also host a meet and greet on October 12.
Logan Jones-Olson and his partner Kristen Roscher own Upgrade Labs. After a successful career in business analytics and consulting, Jones-Olson decided to pursue this new venture to pursue his passions, he said. From a young age, he dreamed of owning his own business and recently discovered the appeal of the franchising model. Driven by a strong desire to improve and optimize his health, he embarked on a journey to not only improve himself, but also improve the lives of others in his community. A longtime fan of Asprey, he discovered Upgrade Labs while listening to one of his podcast interviews. He and Roscher visited the existing location in Riverton and were sold, he said.

Jones-Olson has experienced the services firsthand. For years he suffered from a pinched nerve that prevented him from fully moving his hand, and he tried many proposed solutions with no change. He tried the lab’s “pulsed electromagnetic field therapy,” he said, and saw tremendous and rapid progress in his range of motion. Upgrade Labs’ performance and recovery technologies also relieved his chronic back pain and discomfort “like nothing he’d seen before,” he said, and he now wants to bring those services to his home community in Park City.

Asprey founded Upgrade Labs in 2017 with a mission to “help people reach their highest performance levels through unique technologies while achieving dramatically better results in less time than they would spend using traditional training methods,” Asprey said. Upgrade Labs offers services such as “AI Cheat Machine,” which the company uses to get a week’s worth of strength training in just 15 minutes. The company also offers recovery services, including “Big Squeez,” which promotes “water loss, body weight loss, and toxin elimination.” Upgrade Labs says users of these services experience a stronger immune system, less inflammation, more energy, longer lifespan, better sleep, and more. Recently, Upgrade Labs expanded its U.S. franchise model to include cryotherapy, which involves cooling the whole body to -166 to -220 degrees for two to three minutes to reduce inflammation, boost metabolism, and significantly increase deep and REM sleep.
