EXCLUSIVE: Prime Video is combining video games and animation for one of its biggest investments in adult animation to date. According to sources, the streamer has teamed up with Tim Miller and his Blur Studio, the creative team behind the acclaimed Netflix series Love, death and robotsfor another animation anthology for adults, Secret level.
How Love, death and robotswhose episodes are based on short stories, video game anthologies Secret level, Miller is the creator and executive producer of the film, and it consists of original short stories set in the worlds of popular video games, I hear. Details are sparse, but Amazon Games’ New World, Spelunky Rumor has it that PlayStation titles will be among the games and IPs in the series, which will be unveiled soon, likely during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Representatives from Prime Video declined to comment.
Secret level is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio. Dave Wilson serves as executive producer and supervising director.
Co-founded by Miller in 1995 as a studio where animators and artists could collaborate and determine their own creative destiny, Blur generates content in the areas of game cinematics, commercials, feature films and more.
On Prime Video Secret level joins a list of adult cartoons that includes titles such as Invincible, Hazbin Hotel And Batman: The Animated Series.
