Meet your Syracuse Orange Man: #12, WR Justus Ross-Simmons

It’s time to start preparing for 2024 Syracuse Orange Football season. We’re going through the roster to look at each Syracuse player, as we’ll be seeing a lot of new faces as we kick off the Fran Brown era.

Next comes…

Name: Justus Ross-Simmons

Position: Wide receiver

Year: Junior

Height: 1.90m

Weight: 212 pounds

Hometown: Rochester, New York

Secondary school: Inglewood (California)

Previous College: State of Colorado

Statistics for 2023: 45 receptions, 724 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the Rams.

Forecasts for 2024: Behind Gadsden, Ross-Simmons has a real chance to finish second in receiving yards for the Orange. His size and experience make the CSU transfer a formidable threat from the outside, and he should put up better numbers in all three categories at SU.

How did he get here?: Joined the Orange in late April after receiving a ton of interest from other programs, including Alabama, Penn State, Florida and South Carolina.

What do the recruitment sites say?: A unanimously recognized three-star prospect coming out of the transfer portal, Ross-Simmons earned three stars from ESPN and 247Sports and two from Rivals coming out of high school.
