Only season 4 of “Murders in the Building” goes to Hollywood.
On Tuesday, the trailer for the upcoming season of the Emmy-winning Hulu series with Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short) in the City of Angels, where a Hollywood studio is “preparing a movie about the ‘Only Murders’ podcast,” according to the synopsis for the upcoming season.
The trailer begins with the podcasters reading a script for the film and then finding themselves in a room full of studio executives – including one played by Molly Shannon — Introduction of the cast of the film, including Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria And Zach Galifianakis.
Mabel, Charles and Oliver are then shadowed by the three stars, who want to conduct a “character study” on each of them as part of their film preparations.
But in the trailer, things take a turn when Charles’ stunt double, Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), ends up dead in what appears to be the Arconia.
“There has been another murder,” Gomez says in a clip.
“As our amateur detectives rush back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey – crossing the courtyard of their building to delve into the twisted lives of the residents of Arconia’s West Tower,” the synopsis reads.
The star cast of the fourth season also includes Michael Cyril Creighton, Meryl Streep, Richard Child, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani And Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
The fourth season of “Only Murders in the Building” will be released on August 27th. New episodes will be streamed on Tuesdays.
