Clarendon will soon be eating his subs “Mike’s Way.”
Jersey Mike’s Subs plans to open a new location at 3009 Clarendon Blvd. next week, according to an employee.
The eatery’s full menu board was installed, as was a rack for mobile ordering, based on what ARLnow could see from the outside. Tables and wall graphics were also added to the space.
In addition, a catering wholesaler was delivering supplies today (Tuesday).
According to the sandwich shop’s business description on Google, it is scheduled to open tomorrow (Wednesday). A request for comment left with the shop’s franchisee remained unanswered at press time.
Founded in 1956, Jersey Mike’s has grown its portfolio to nearly 3,000 stores in the U.S. alone. Although there is currently no Jersey Mike’s in Arlington, the chain’s website lists another location at 3253 Columbia Pike as “coming soon.”
Plans for the Columbia Pike site have been in the works since at least last summer.
Jersey Mike’s traditionally offers more than 20 different sandwich options that can be customized by customers. The chain is known for being able to order sandwiches “Mike’s way,” with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil and oregano.
The future Clarendon location, which replaces Dunkin’ that closed in 2021, will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
