The New England Patriots entered the offseason with a clear need for help at wide receiver, and their biggest move in free agency was the signing of former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver KJ Osborn.
Osborn spent four seasons in Minnesota, catching 158 passes for 1,845 yards and 15 touchdowns, serving primarily as a third option at the position behind Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen or Jefferson and Jordan Addison.
For New England, Osborn has been one of the first to complete every practice in training camp and will likely compete with DeMario Douglas and Kendrick Bourne (active/PUP) for the top spot when the season begins.
Right now, he’s working on getting on the same wavelength as his starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
While they share the field for training camp and preseason, Osborn said he also takes the time to watch film of five-time Pro Bowler Amari Cooper, who had success with Brissett for the Cleveland Browns.

Cooper and Brissett played 11 games together in Cleveland and combined for 57 passes for 792 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Patriots would be thrilled if Osborn could reach those numbers with Brissett in 2024.
